Handling Deal Snafus at Nob Hill / Raley's / MyWebGrocer

In our weekly newsletter for April 13th, one of the deals we highlighted for many users was Stouffer’s Lean Cuisine Entrees for $1 each (5 for $5) at Nob Hill. I was dismayed to wake up on April 14th to an email from one user informing us that they had been to Nob Hill to get this deal, and the price was actually twice as much -- $2 (5 for $10)! Posting incorrect information about a deal makes me feel terrible, so I immediately started to investigate.

First, I went to the Nob Hill website and took a look at the weekly specials. The website said 5 for $5. Then I launched the Raley's / Nob Hill iPhone app. It too said 5 for $5. With a printout of the website and the iPhone app in hand, I headed over the the Nob Hill in Mountain View.

I went to the freezer section and took a look at the frozen entrees. Lean Cuisine entrees had a tag that said 5 for $10. So I grabbed 5 dinners and walked over to customer service to ask about the situation. After showing the web printout and the iPhone app to a manager, they agreed to sell me the dinners for $1 each. Victory!

Having to deal with customer service to get a deal is a pain, and our hope is that you never, ever have to do this to get a deal mentioned on AnyLeaf. That said, when errors do occur, often the problem is in the information published by the store. Usually if you ask the store to take a look at their own website and politely but firmly request that they honor the published price, they'll do it.

If you happen to discover a deal listed on AnyLeaf that you have any trouble whatsoever procuring at the store, please let us know so we can investigate and help you out.
